The Story of "Sun Kissed"
Growing on the Northern edges of the Sonoran Desert, this flower called a "Caltrop" can been seen for only a couple of weeks at the beginning of our infamous monsoon season. I've only seen them blooming once in all of my years of fleeing to the mountains to escape the summer heat.
About the size of a dime - it was wonderful to focus in on and explore this bright and beautiful flower through painting. |
